It has retained this distinction in its second edition, while becoming both more accessible and more wide-ranging, and is appropriate for use in both undergraduate and graduate courses. Great place to start

This is the second edition of this book. It is both well written and thought provoking.Robert Stecker is very current in his discussion of the aesthetics and philosophy of art. I would strongly recommend for anyone interested in contemporary art. The further reading suggestions at the end of each chapter are also very helpful for those that want to dig deeper.
