Fascinating read!

If you want a solid introduction to the political geography of national borders, Diener and Hagen's book is for you. Chapter one provides a background and grounds you in the relevant concepts. The remaining chapters present several cases of odd borders, their origins and dynamics.
Vividly illustrated with maps throughout, you'll chuckle at the accidental Swiss invasion of Leichtenstien, scratch your head reading about the India-Bangladesh-India-Bangladesh-India enclaves, and discover a new angle on the Israel-West Bank situation by exploring Green Line border disputes. You might be surprised that even America is not free of odd international borders!
Travel to Asia, South America, Europe, and Africa with this entertaining read for a general audience, visitng exotic settings such as Kyrgyzstan, Argentina, Kaliningrad, and Namibia.

I am not generally into geography but one of my professors recommended this book and I was pleasantly surprised. I found it very easy to read and quite entertaining. I would definitely recommend!
