About the Author
Tatha Wiley is professor of theology at the University of St. Thomas, the University of St. Catherine, and Metropolitan State University. She is the author of several books in theology and New Testament studies, including Paul and the Gentile Women and Original Sin: Origins, Developments, Contemporary Meanings which received First Place in Theology from the Catholic Press Association in 2003, and Creationism and the Conflict over Evolution.

The Misunderstood Paul

If Paul were alive today, he would disown much of what has said and done in his name. Finally here is someone who will sift the historical evidence on Paul and admit the many ways in which he has been misapplied. Wiley not only illumines the authentic, historical Paul but also accounts for the misapplication of his teachings in the history of slavery, male domination, religious exclusivism, and anti-Judaism.
